United Nations: Israel Blocking Aid Delivery to Gaza

The United Nations emphasizes ‍the‍ urgent need to reopen all crossings into the Gaza Strip to expand humanitarian assistance, according to the UN ⁢Secretary-General’s spokesperson.

At a daily press briefing at UN headquarters in New York, Stephane Dujarric stated⁣ that Israel is ​currently refusing to issue visas for non-governmental organizations and is blocking many of them from sending aid into Gaza.

Dujarric also noted that the⁤ United Nations has deployed teams to inspect⁣ Salah al-Din Street,which has not been used in Gaza for several months.

He​ added that clearance of roads leading‌ to the Erez and Kerem ​Shalom crossings has been completed in preparation for their possible reopening for humanitarian deliveries.
