Trump: I Will Meet Putin Soon in Hungary
According to the English section of webangah News agency, quoting mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, US President Donald Trump said his phone call with President Putin was productive and that their success in the Middle East would support negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine. “I believe my call with President Putin made notable progress,” he stated.
Trump added that he discussed post-war trade with Russia after the conflict in Ukraine ends. ”We agreed to hold a meeting next week involving our senior advisors,” he said. This session will be led by Marco Rubio, the United States Secretary of State.
The US president emphasized, “I will meet with Putin in Hungary’s capital to explore whether we can end this shameful war between Russia and Ukraine.”
He continued, “President Putin congratulated me on achieving peace in the Middle east.”
Trump also announced that tomorrow at the White House he will speak with the Ukrainian president about his phone call with Putin and many other issues.
The white House confirmed that Trump and Putin’s next meeting may take place in Budapest, where Putin has expressed his commitment to meet with President Trump.
The White House stressed that the war in Ukraine must be resolved through negotiation.
