Hamas Leader in West Bank: Palestinian National Rights Are Non-Negotiable
According to webangah News Agency, Zaher Jabarin, head of Hamas in the West Bank and official responsible for prisoners and martyrs’ affairs, declared that the Battle of Al-Aqsa Storm will be recorded as one of the greatest struggles in Palestinian history.
He added that the resistance has opened a new chapter in the historic fight of the Palestinian people. Gaza remains standing, alive, and resilient; concepts like defeat or destruction have no place in Gaza’s narrative.
The Hamas leader explained that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm led to the liberation of more than 4,000 prisoners, including several serving life sentences. Despite attempts by what he called a criminal and fascist occupation regime to prevent it, these inmates were freed in a grand scene worthy of an honorable and generous people like heroic Palestine.
Jabarin told the criminal enemy: our national rights are not subject to negotiation. the state of Palestine is not a favor granted by anyone but an inherent right belonging to its people.
He emphasized that this battle does not – and will not - end with silenced guns because defending national rights includes continuing efforts toward land preservation, prisoner liberation, and safeguarding holy sites.
Zaher Jabarin said that today’s world faces a real test: those seeking peace in the region must initiate steps toward establishing a Palestinian state and freeing all prisoners.
He stressed that ongoing detention only fuels conflict further. Efforts towards annexing parts of the West bank, expanding settlements, and Judaizing Jerusalem risk transforming the region into a powder keg ready to explode.
The Hamas leader addressed Palestinian prisoners directly: your freedom is entrusted to us; our commitment is dedicated to securing your release.
further stating his position on external pressures,Jabarin rejected any foreign dictates or recommendations. He affirmed that true peace can only be achieved by adhering to international consensus on establishing a Palestinian state alongside releasing all detainees.
He warned that continued imprisonment will keep reigniting conflict flames.
Taking firm stance against any form of imposed international guardianship over Palestinians, he said it is time for his people to exercise their right to self-determination and build an autonomous country.
Zaher Jabarin called for sustained legal prosecution against war criminals within Netanyahu’s Israeli regime. He also cautioned against resuming normalization processes at any cost if it means sacrificing Palestinians’ rights.
