New Zealand Issues Latest Position on Iran

New Zealand’s Foreign Minister publicly announced his country’s anti-Iran stance despite the impending expiration of UN Security ‌Council Resolution 2231.

According⁤ to ‌the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Euro News,New Zealand Foreign Minister Winston Peters⁤ declared on Friday ⁢that his country will reinstate sanctions against ⁣Iran, aligning with the Western-Hebrew bloc’s hostile ⁢policies toward Tehran.

The New Zealand Foreign Ministry statement refrained from mentioning the United States’ unilateral withdrawal from the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran or the European troika’s failure to uphold its commitments under that deal. Instead, it absurdly ‌claimed this decision is consistent with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and will take effect starting Saturday.

Peters, seemingly ignoring ‍ongoing U.S. and Israeli aggression against Iran amid indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, added: “We strongly encourage Iran to rejoin negotiations and resume cooperation ⁣with the International Atomic energy Agency.”

This hostile move by New ⁤Zealand against Iran comes as the resolution related to the JCPOA is set to expire in coming ‍days.
