Erdogan: Gaza Agreement Must Serve as Foundation for Regional Peace
Erdogan emphasized that Turkey strives for the Gaza agreement to serve as a foundation for peace in the region and expressed concern over the ongoing violent conflicts in Sudan.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that his country will continue its efforts to ensure the Gaza agreement becomes a basis for regional peace.
He added that Turkey is ready to do whatever is necessary to help Gaza regain stability and stand on its own feet.
The Turkish president stressed that, given Israel’s track record of broken commitments, all necessary measures must be taken to guarantee the continued implementation of the Gaza agreement.
Erdoğan also addressed developments in Sudan, saying the ongoing clashes deeply trouble Turkey.He expressed hope for an immediate ceasefire followed by lasting peace in Sudan.
