Israeli Regime Returns Bodies of 120 Palestinian Martyrs
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing the Palestinian Shehab news agency, Ismail Al-Thawabta, director of the Gaza government’s information office, stated that the Israeli occupation handed over 120 bodies of Palestinian martyrs thru the International Committee of the Red Cross during the past three days.
Al-Thawabta added that most bodies were in deplorable condition, indicating their owners had suffered field executions and systematic torture.
He noted that some martyrs were returned with their eyes closed and hands and feet bound, while others showed signs of strangulation marks around their necks and evidence of suffocation-clear signs of deliberate killings.
Al-Thawabta further reported that parts of many victims’ bodies-including eyes, corneas, and other organs-were missing. This confirms allegations that Israeli forces stole body parts during detention after death.
The Gaza media director demanded that international organizations and human rights groups immediately establish an international investigation committee to hold Israel accountable for severe violations against martyrs’ remains and organ theft.
Additionally, Ghazi Hamad, a Hamas leader speaking to Al-Mayadeen, said that exchanging Palestinian martyr remains for Israeli prisoner corpses is a complex issue requiring more time to verify identities.
He added that since Israeli forces failed to achieve their objectives in Gaza Strip operations, it is unsurprising they resorted to brutal tactics.
The senior Hamas official emphasized: “We remain committed to the agreement. What is happening now is an attempt by Israel to apply pressure.”
