Despite Gaza Ceasefire, Zionists Massacre 11-Member Family
The Gaza Civil Defense announced that the Israeli army committed a massacre against a Palestinian family by targeting a civilian vehicle carrying 11 people.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Civil Defense Department, stated that the vehicle belonged to the Abu Shaaban family and included seven children and two women. The Israeli army targeted it in al-Zaytoun, in eastern Gaza City.
Israeli forces claimed that the vehicle crossed the “yellow line,” an imaginary boundary separating areas under Israeli military control from those Palestinians are allowed to move within across Gaza. However, Basal said they should have been warned before any attack or handled in a way that would avoid casualties.
Basal added: “this incident reveals that the occupiers remain thirsty for blood and insist on committing crimes against innocent civilians.”
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement condemning this incident as yet another massacre. It said that targeting the Abu Shaaban family as they intended to leave their home in al-Zaytoun exposes the occupiers’ premeditated intent to strike civilians.
This massacre resulted in 11 deaths in al-Zaytoun alone. Since the start of what is described as genocide in Gaza, approximately 67,967 Palestinians have been killed and 170,179 wounded-most of them women and children. According to United nations estimates, damage caused during two years of war has exceeded $70 billion.
