The U.S. Relies on Deception; Trump’s Plan Offers Nothing for Palestine
Mehr News Agency, International Desk: The international conference titled “The Future of Gaza in Light of the Trump Plan” was held with participation from Sheikh Mohammed Al-Mu’adad, head of the Advisory Board for the Council of Palestinian Scholars in Lebanon; Mansour Barati, israel researcher; Mohammed Abu Obaid, Al-Alam correspondent in Gaza; mohammed Bayat, Middle East expert and researcher; Hossein Houshmand, U.S. affairs analyst; and Mohammad reza Moradi, Director General for International Affairs and Foreign News at Mehr News Agency. The event took place at Mehr Media Group’s conference hall.
Sheikh Mohammed Al-Mu’adad said during the session that the Zionist regime exploits U.S. support to avoid conceding anything to Palestinians. It has consistently violated all Security Council resolutions and international mandates. According to him, UN Security Council resolutions apply solely to Arab Islamic countries and peoples like ours-the Zionist enemy does not recognize any obligations toward them. Tel Aviv openly declares that no state will be established for Palestinians while maintaining a Jewish state with borders stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates.
He added that Donald Trump’s plan was presented hastily with an eye on winning a Nobel Peace Prize as soon as possible. By submitting his name for this award process, Trump aims to portray himself as someone who ended gaza’s conflict swiftly. Naturally, this 20-point plan is designed solely to force resistance into submission before Israel and holds no benefits for Palestinians.
The head of the Advisory Board continued by saying Trump’s plan came accompanied by threats: “Is there anything left in Gaza that can still be destroyed? How much more killing can take place-women, children-and how much further can sieges intensify? how many more hospitals or infrastructures can be demolished? How many civilians or journalists arrested?” He questioned whom Trump intends to threaten when America stands against a world increasingly recognizing Palestinian statehood after witnessing these atrocities.
He further emphasized: “The United states engages in deception; everyone must stay alert regarding its deceit alongside that of Israel.” He described Trump’s life as rooted in business dealings and duplicity. Both American political parties-Republicans and democrats-have consistently operated favorably toward Israel without offering anything ample to Arab or Islamic nations but instead plundering their resources. The fear and humiliation among Arab nations who have withdrawn support from Gaza have created opportunities for this regime’s exploitation. We suffer deeply witnessing how Arab Islamic countries show disgrace towards Gaza’s plight around us.”
<p"He also referenced global awareness about how passengers aboard ships attempting to break Gaza's blockade were detained," he concluded.
