Hezbollah: Israeli Regime’s War Against Southern Lebanon Continues
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing al-Manar and Mehr News agency, Hassan Fadlallah, head of the Loyalty to Resistance bloc in Lebanon’s parliament, stated that in the recent war, Israel intended to occupy villages and towns in southern Lebanon. At minimum, it sought control over southern Litani by expelling its inhabitants and establishing dominance there. However, the steadfastness of the resistance thwarted Israel’s goals and prevented this occupation.
He added that Israeli attacks on civilians and Lebanese infrastructure aim to pressure residents-especially those in the south-to forcibly leave their homes or surrender.
Fadlallah stressed that a continuous war is ongoing against southern Lebanon and its people, aimed at obstructing reconstruction efforts and preventing residents from returning. This campaign will be met with full strength and determination.
He also stated: “We cannot accept misguided domestic policies that contradict both law and constitution. some openly violate laws under foreign pressure.” He warned such pressures risk causing an explosion within the country and urged avoiding actions leading Lebanon into dangerous deadlocks.
Fadlallah further highlighted two major challenges facing Lebanon: Israeli attacks alongside government responsibility to confront them; and the issue of rebuilding. He underscored that it is incumbent upon the government to assume its duties by compelling supporters of agreements to halt hostilities. He explained resistance will respond positively to any constructive steps taken by authorities because their shared goal is ending bloodshed and halting Israeli destruction.
