Vance and Whitaker to Visit Occupied Palestinian Territories on Monday
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Israeli news outlet Yedioth Ahronoth via Mehr News Agency, US Vice President J.D. Vance is expected to make his first trip to the occupied Palestinian territories since President Trump took office.
The report states that Steve Whitcraft, Trump’s special envoy for the region, will also travel there to discuss the next phase of a ceasefire agreement in gaza and address issues concerning bodies of captive Israelis held by hamas.
Officials familiar with Whitcraft’s team said he has closely monitored progress on this agreement and remains steadfast to secure the return of all bodies,including those of several American citizens.
Israeli broadcaster i24 reported that both the US Vice President and Trump’s special envoy are scheduled to arrive in the region this Monday.
