Hamas: We Have No Desire to Participate in Gaza’s Government Arrangements
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera,Hazem Qassem,Hamas spokesperson in Gaza,stated that the movement is unwilling to participate in administrative arrangements related to governing Gaza but called for an expedited formation of a social support committee to assume control over affairs in Gaza.
He emphasized that government institutions in Gaza will continue their activities until the social support committee takes charge of managing the situation.
Hazem Qassem added that the second stage of the Gaza ceasefire agreement is complex and requires national consensus.
He also spoke about steps taken toward a national stance, noting ongoing negotiations confirm Israel’s temporary presence in Gaza as stipulated by the agreement. Hamas intends to pursue this issue with mediators and countries guaranteeing the agreement while together reaffirming its legitimate right to resist occupiers in Palestinian land through appropriate means.
