Netanyahu Cancels Gaza Crossing Closures After Trump Pressure
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, reported that Axios quoted a U.S. official saying Israel informed the United States it would reopen the Gaza crossing on Monday morning.
Axios also cited Israeli officials stating that Israel reversed its decision to close Gaza crossings after pressure from the Trump administration, and aid deliveries will recommence.
Channel 12 of Israeli television, referring to a U.S. source, also reported that Israel has committed to reopening Gaza crossings tomorrow morning.
This news comes after earlier reports from this Israeli outlet quoting a political source who said that rafah crossing would remain closed until Hamas returns prisoners’ bodies at a reasonable pace. Today, Israel halted truck movement carrying aid due to intense bombardment but plans to resume operations once bombing ceases.
Earlier, CNN quoted an Israeli official reporting that Netanyahu had ordered suspension of aid to Gaza until further notice.
