Explosion at Afghan Mosque Injures 9
At least nine people were injured following an explosion in a mosque in eastern Afghanistan.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Kham-e-Press, an explosion at a mosque in shinwari district of Parwan province injured at least nine people.
Fazl Rahim Maskinyar, the regional police spokesperson, said the incident was caused by the detonation of a hand grenade.
The police have not arrested anyone in connection with the explosion yet, and investigations are ongoing.
Initial findings and eyewitness accounts suggest the blast occurred due to someone’s negligence while entering the mosque.
