Palestine Red Crescent: 22,000 Need Medical Treatment Outside Gaza
The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that 22,000 residents of the Gaza Strip require evacuation from the region to receive ongoing medical care. Among them, a minimum of 3,800 are children.
This organization also stated that 42,000 people in Gaza are suffering from injuries serious enough to disrupt their daily lives.
The Palestinian Red Crescent emphasized that humanitarian aid entering Gaza is extremely limited adn that they have no access to these supplies.
Meanwhile, Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) announced that many of their trucks carrying medicines and medical equipment are awaiting permits to enter Gaza. Thousands of injured individuals urgently need evacuation for further treatment.
Earlier,Mahmoud basal,spokesperson for Search and Rescue in Gaza,saeid approximately 10,000 victims remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes throughout the region.
He stressed that recovering bodies from under debris is a complex and challenging operation requiring immediate international cooperation and specialized rescue equipment. Extracting bodies demands heavy machinery and coordinated efforts; however, since the ceasefire was declared there has been no change in field conditions or available resources.
