Elderly Palestinian Prisoner Martyred
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Shehab News Agency via Mehr News Agency, the Palestinian Committee of Detainees and Ex-Detainees affairs confirmed that Mohammad Al-ajrami, an elderly Palestinian prisoner from Gaza, has died in Israeli prisons.
The committee stated that 69-year-old Al-Ajrami passed away on October 10, 2025, at Soroka Hospital in Israel after being transferred there from Negev prison. He was captured by israeli forces on October 25, 2024. Al-Ajrami had six children.
As his arrest, he endured harsh conditions including intentional starvation policies and denial of medical treatment and services-factors which ultimately led to his death.
The committee added that Al-AjramiS death is part of a series of targeted actions by Israeli authorities against Palestinian detainees. These efforts have intensified since the onset of what they describe as genocide in Gaza. prisoners face torture, hunger strikes enforcement, medical neglect, and sexual abuse amid troubling silence and complicity from the international community toward Israel’s occupation forces.
The statement noted the number of prisoners who have died since this ongoing crisis began has risen to eighty. The fate of dozens more remains unknown. The occupying forces continue their policy of targeted assassination through withholding treatment and subjecting prisoners to poor living conditions.
The committee holds Israeli authorities fully responsible for Al-Ajrami’s death. It called on global actors to take immediate legal action to end these practices and hold those responsible accountable for war crimes and genocide against Palestinians.
