Israel’s New Assessment of Hamas’ Military Capability After Two Years of War
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Palestine’s Sama news Agency, Israel’s Channel 14 reported that after two years as the start of the war against the Gaza Strip, Israeli security assessments reveal that Hamas still retains significant military strength.
The report estimates that hamas’s armed forces number around 20,000 personnel.
This assessment indicates that the resistance movement continues to possess hundreds of rockets, some with medium range capable of reaching central areas of the occupied territories.
Hamas is also believed to hold thousands of RPG-type anti-tank weapons.
The evaluation further reveals that more than 10,000 long-range firearms remain in their arsenal.
According to this assessment, hamas’s military structure includes six brigades and 24 battalions, with some units still active.
It also states that over half of the military tunnels existing before the Gaza conflict remain operational.
