Hebrew Media: Yemenis Have Completely Paralyzed Eilat Port
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, reported that the Israeli website Kalkalist admitted the port of Eilat is facing a severe economic and navigational crisis due to Ansarallah’s threats against ships in the Red Sea.
The Israeli site confirmed that this port remains almost fully paralyzed as a result of the ongoing maritime blockade.
According to the report, Eilat port officials have called on the United States and Egypt to intervene urgently to save its current maritime and commercial situation. The port management has urged Egypt, as owner of the Suez Canal, to pressure authorities in Sana’a to lift the blockade.
Since November 2023, nearly all ship movements at Eilat have ceased, causing an 80 percent drop in the port’s revenues.
