Trump’s Deputy Visits Occupied Palestinian Territories
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and al Jazeera, IsraelS Radio and Television Corporation announced that US vice president J. D. Vance has arrived in the occupied territories for a two-day visit. He is scheduled to meet and consult with Israeli officials.
Reuters, quoting an Israeli official, reported that the purpose of Vice President Vance’s trip is to advance Gaza negotiations into the second phase of an agreement.
This marks the first visit by a US vice president to the occupied Palestinian territories since assuming office.
According to media reports, Steve Whitcuff, former special envoy under Donald Trump, will also travel to the region to discuss the next steps in ceasefire arrangements in gaza and address issues related to Israeli captives held by Hamas.
