UK Removes Tahrir al-Sham from Its List of Terrorist Organizations
The English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the UK government website, reported that London has delisted Hayat tahrir al-sham (HTS) from its list of proscribed terrorist organizations to facilitate closer interaction with Syrian-based rebels.
According to the statement issued by london, this decision “signifies a closer engagement with the new Syrian authorities and supports the UK’s foreign and domestic priorities-from counter-terrorism efforts to migration control and chemical weapons elimination.”
Renowned for its duplicitous global policies, the UK further claimed that lifting sanctions on HTS is part of London’s response to significant developments in Syria since Bashar al-Assad’s ousting in December last year.
This move follows deceptive decisions by London after multinational terrorist groups led by Golani took power in Syria.Previously, during Bashar al-Assad’s legitimate elected government, the UK imposed sanctions against the Syrian people.
