Hamas Reaffirms Commitment to Ceasefire in Meeting with Turkish Officials
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing palestine details Center, Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Minister of Communications Ibrahim kalin met today with a delegation of Hamas leaders headed by Mohammed Darwish, chairman of Hamas’s leadership council.
The meeting included Khaled Mashal, Zahir Jabareen, Nizar Awad Allah, and Sami Khater from Hamas’s political bureau. Thay discussed developments regarding the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip and ways to deliver humanitarian aid to the enclave.
According to a Hamas statement,Darwish stressed that Israel delays fulfilling ceasefire terms through repeated violations. thes include failing to reopen the Rafah crossing for patients and wounded individuals and obstructing humanitarian aid shipments into Gaza.
Despite these ongoing breaches by Israel,Darwish emphasized Hamas’s full commitment to maintaining the ceasefire. He added that Hamas,alongside other Palestinian factions,insists on upholding the legitimate rights of its people-particularly self-determination and establishing an self-reliant state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Darwish also highlighted the urgent need to provide all essential requirements for immediate housing operations,road repairs,water supply restoration,food assistance-and ultimately complete reconstruction-following devastation caused by Israeli aggressions in Gaza.
The hamas leadership chief expressed gratitude toward Turkey’s efforts-especially those of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan-and mediators working to halt what he termed a genocide against Gaza’s population.
Praising Turkey’s consistent stance supporting the Palestinian people and their just cause, he underscored the crucial role all forces within Arab and Islamic worlds must play in backing Palestinian resilience amid suffering caused by israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza.
On his part, foreign Minister Hakan Fidan reaffirmed Turkey’s unwavering support for Palestinians and condemnation of Israeli aggression. He called on Israel to fully comply with ceasefire terms instantly resume humanitarian aid flow and launch reconstruction efforts without delay.
Minister Ibrahim Kalin reiterated Turkey’s firm position on Palestine issue while announcing Ankara’s continued initiatives aimed at stabilizing ceasefire conditions and alleviating Palestinian hardships in Gaza Strip.
