Top Leaders of ISIS “Third Generation” Eliminated in Iraq

According to webangah News Agency, quoting Al-Maloumeh via Mehr News Agency, Abbas Sarout, ⁣a member of ​Iraq’s Parliament Security and Defense Committee, confirmed that Iraqi security forces have succeeded ⁤in eliminating elements referred to ​as the third-generation ISIS leaders.

Sarout added that these individuals formed the core structure of ISIS in recent years. The group relied ⁣heavily on them to manage its⁢ criminal ⁣operations⁢ across⁤ several Iraqi provinces. Though, persistent intelligence ⁣efforts by Iraqi forces over the past three years led to most being neutralized.

Sarout stated that only underground ISIS cells ​now remain, hiding in mountainous and desert regions.
