Kremlin: Putin Will Not Attend G20 Summit
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via RT, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian presidential administration, stated that there are currently no plans for a new phone call between President putin and Hungarian prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
Peskov added that the timing for a meeting between Putin and Trump had not been set previously and remains undecided.
The Kremlin spokesperson addressed Trump’s comments regarding a Russia-US summit, saying neither Donald Trump nor Vladimir Putin wants to waste time. He emphasized that a meeting between Putin and Trump is a mutual desire of both presidents.
Peskov went on to say that Putin will personally skip the G20 summit in South Africa but assured that Russia will be represented at an appropriate level during the event.
Referring to the postponement of talks between Putin and Trump, Peskov said such delays require intervention at the highest level but preparations must continue. He noted these efforts have been accompanied by numerous rumors and speculations-most of wich do not correspond with reality.

Peskov also touched upon the war in Ukraine, underlining that Russia has repeatedly articulated its position on resolving this crisis. He said these principles are clearly defined under President Putin’s guidance.
