Russia Conducts Strategic Nuclear Drill Under Putin’s Oversight + Video
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Rosia Al-Yaum via Mehr News Agency, Russia held a strategic nuclear forces exercise supervised by President vladimir Putin. The drill involved the coordinated participation of ground,naval,and air units.
The Kremlin announced that Valery Gerasimov, chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, reported on the exercise to President Putin.
The kremlin statement said that during the exercise ballistic intercontinental missiles and air-launched cruise missiles were fired. From the plesetsk Aerospace Base,a Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was launched toward the Kura test site in Kamchatka.
Additionally, Tu-95MS bombers took part in the drill by launching air-launched cruise missiles. During the exercise, the cruiser Bryansk fired a Sineva ballistic missile from the Barents Sea. The Kremlin confirmed that all objectives related to conducting this strategic nuclear forces drill were successfully achieved.
