Ciaran: Postponement of Putin-Trump Meeting Is Incorrect; No Date Set
Hungarian Foreign Minister stated: Claims of postponing the Russia-US summit in Budapest are incorrect; no date has been set yet.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó announced on Wednesday that Hungary will not comply with the International Criminal CourtS arrest warrant if President Putin visits the country.
The foreign minister added, “Today I will meet with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to discuss preparations for the Russia-US summit. Claims about postponing the leaders’ meeting in Budapest are incorrect; no date has been set yet.”
Péter Szijjártó further stated, “I hope European countries will allow Putin’s plane to fly over their airspace en route to Hungary. Otherwise, it means they do not want peace.”
