International Court of Justice Issues New Ruling Condemning the Zionist Regime

The English section of webangah News agency, citing BBC and Mehr News Agency, reported that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) delivered its advisory opinion regarding “Israel’s obligations concerning the presence and activities of the United Nations, other international organizations, and third-party states in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.”
According to the ICJ ruling, Israel’s blockade on Gaza and its obstruction of humanitarian aid deliveries violate international law. The court stated that this regime cannot continue such inhumane actions.
ICJ President Yuji Iwasawa read out today’s public session advisory opinion outlining Israel’s duties to facilitate humanitarian aid access to Gaza.
Iwasawa noted that Israel failed to justify its claims that UNRWA staff are affiliated with Hamas or other groups. Ther is no evidence showing UNRWA has breached neutrality or discriminated in distributing aid. UNRWA remains the primary provider supporting Palestinians in the occupied territories and plays a vital role in Gaza.
Iwasawa emphasized that UNRWA forms an essential part of infrastructure within the Occupied Palestinian Territories, meeting basic needs for Gaza’s population. Under current circumstances,no other organization can fulfill UNRWA’s role; it is irreplaceable without an appropriate transitional plan.
The case was initiated last year by a request from the United Nations General Assembly. The court assessed Israeli legal obligations towards UN relief agencies such as UNRWA and their assistance efforts for Palestinians.
This marks the third case brought against Israel at The Hague since Operation Al-Aqsa Storm began in Gaza.
