Key ISIS Leader Captured in East Aleppo
Syrian sources report the arrest of a prominent ISIS leader in eastern Aleppo during an operation by SDF forces.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shafaq News, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the capture of a key ISIS commander in a security operation on Aleppo’s eastern outskirts.
The SDF stated that the operation took place yesterday in a residential area east of Aleppo city, resulting in the arrest of Ahmad Khalaf al-Hussein, one of ISIS’s most important leaders in the region.
The forces said this raid followed precise intelligence monitoring terrorist movements. They successfully stormed his hideout and detained him.
The SDF emphasized that they will continue pursuing remaining ISIS militants to maintain regional security, stability, and protect civilians’ lives.
