What Transpired in Zelensky’s Meeting with Keir Starmer in England?

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer ahead of the London meeting of the coalition supporting Ukraine.
During the meeting, Starmer stated, “I want to use today’s possibility to set a clear agenda for bringing vladimir Putin to negotiations.”
The UK prime minister expressed hope that as manny countries as possible would agree on measures to cut off funding for Russia’s war machine.
He added that the coalition must reach consensus on freezing Russian assets and transferring those funds to Ukraine.
Starmer noted that “the coalition is determined to stand with Ukraine so that negotiations begin from a strong position.” He welcomed efforts by the UK to expedite missile support for Ukraine and emphasized, “We must intensify military pressure on Russia.”
The prime minister further stressed that the coalition should continue its drive to remove Russian oil and gas from global markets. He reiterated commitment “to remain alongside Ukraine until negotiations start from a position of strength.”
Zelensky said during their discussions that the coalition has the capacity to protect Ukraine’s energy sector by supplying necessary gas and equipment.
The Ukrainian president, who continues seeking missile reinforcements despite US opposition, said several Patriot systems are ready in Europe and can be deployed instantly “to protect lives in Ukraine.”
Zelensky urged Europe’s coalition members to sanction all Russian energy companies and block their market access in order to increase pressure on Putin.
He added, “we must press Russia into serious negotiations. I am ready for any talks.”
the Ukrainian prime minister also expressed disappointment over former US President Donald Trump’s refusal to provide Tomahawk missiles. He said these advanced weapons are among the best leverage against Putin since diplomacy falters whenever talks stall.
