Venezuela’s Defense Minister: Threats and Assassinations Will Not Halt Our Path

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency via Al Mayadeen, Venezuela’s Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino López stated that his country will persevere and that threats and assassination attempts will not stop its course.
He added: “With the deployment of U.S. air and naval assets, there is a threat in the Caribbean Sea, but we act without fear. We are currently facing the most severe military threat in over 100 years.”
The Venezuelan defense chief also noted that the united States is moving closer to Venezuela’s shores each day.
It is worth noting that former President Donald Trump deployed one of the largest military fleets in the Caribbean under the pretext of fighting drug trafficking and aiming to overthrow Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela’s president. By authorizing CIA operations, Washington has pushed Venezuela to the brink of a conflict that could ignite all latin America.
Currently, more than 10 percent of the entire U.S. military capacity operates in Caribbean waters. This force includes four destroyers, one nuclear submarine, one cruiser equipped with missile systems, over 4,500 U.S. Navy personnel alongside F-35 fighters, B-52 strategic bombers, and reconnaissance drones-forming a presence far beyond typical anti-drug operations.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Rubio announced today that Washington carried out a nighttime strike against a ship near Venezuela in the Caribbean Sea.
The strike was reportedly justified by claims that the vessel was transporting narcotics; six people were killed during this operation according to Rubio’s statement.
