Trump: I’d Like to Meet North Korean Leader; Urges China to Help
US President emphasizes his willingness to meet North Korean leader during his Asian trip.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and AFP, US President Donald Trump announced before departing for Malaysia that he would like to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his Asian tour.
He added that he hopes China will assist the United States in countering Russia.
A South Korean official said on Friday there is a “notable” possibility that Trump will meet Kim Jong Un next week while in South Korea for the Asia-Pacific economic Cooperation summit.
