Red Cross: Israel Denies Access to Detention Centers
Amid widespread torture of Palestinian prisoners in israeli detention centers, the Red Cross has announced that Israel denies access to its prisons.
The English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, reported that Sarah Davis, spokesperson for the international Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), stated representatives of the association have been unable to enter Israeli detention centers since October 2023.
She added that consequently, the ICRC has been unable to obtain facts regarding the conditions of Palestinian prisoners.
This comes amid reports from a recent prisoner exchange between Israel and Hamas, where severe torture marks-including tank chain imprints-were observed on the bodies of deceased Palestinians.
