Second Round of Talks Between Pakistani Officials and Afghanistan’s Interim Government Held in Istanbul

Pakistani officials and Afghanistan’s interim government held the second round of talks ​in Istanbul on border clashes ⁢between ⁢the two countries.

The second round of peace talks between‌ Pakistan and Afghanistan began today,Saturday,in Istanbul under Turkey’s supervision.​ the discussions aim to review progress on ⁢agreed points from previous negotiations ⁣held in Doha, according ‍to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing‍ Mehr ‌News ⁤Agency.

Sources familiar wiht the‌ matter ‍said the talks are taking place at a local‌ hotel ⁢in Istanbul between ⁣delegations from both countries.

The⁣ Afghan interim government’s ⁢delegation is led by Rahmatullah Mujib, Deputy ⁣Minister of Interior, who is attending​ alongside the‍ Interior Minister.

Also participating are Noor Rahman Nusrat from the Ministry of Defense, Afghanistan’s ‌acting ambassador to Qatar, and ⁢a spokesperson ⁤for Afghanistan’s interim Foreign Ministry.

A two-member Pakistani delegation representing security officials ​is present. They are expected⁢ to propose solutions ⁢regarding ⁢border clashes, ‌establish monitoring mechanisms, and outline frameworks to enhance security cooperation.

Diplomatic sources ⁣stated‍ that the Istanbul dialogue aims to reinforce commitments ​made in Doha ‌and create an effective mechanism for addressing mutual ‍security concerns.
