Trump Consults with Japanese Prime Minister Aboard Air Force One

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr news Agency and Russia Today,US President Donald Trump spoke by phone today,Saturday,with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi while traveling from the United States to Malaysia.
The call took place aboard Air Force One, the president’s official aircraft.
During the conversation, Trump affirmed Japan’s alliance with the United States, especially regarding China, and reiterated commitment to a ”free Indo-Pacific.”
Takaichi is scheduled to welcome Trump in Tokyo in the coming days.
According to Al-Manar, Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi said on today’s call that strengthening ties between Tokyo and Washington remains her government’s “top priority.”
Japanese media report that this phone conversation comes just days before Trump visits Japan as part of a regional tour. It marks their first direct contact since Takaichi assumed office earlier this week.
Takaichi told reporters that both sides agreed to work together toward elevating US-Japan relations to new levels.
She added that she emphasized to Trump her administration’s focus on reinforcing ties on both diplomatic and security fronts.
