Cuba Condemns U.S. Military Action in the Caribbean Sea

According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, Cuban foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez condemned the deployment of US aircraft carriers in the Caribbean Sea under the pretext of combating drug trafficking. He described it as a “serious threat to the region and peace in Latin America and the Caribbean,” as well as a “major risk of military aggression against Venezuela.”
Rodríguez also criticized unilateral US sanctions against Colombian President Gustavo Petro, calling them a “desperate response against those who speak the truth.”
He emphasized: “We stand alongside the Colombian president in opposing this new imperialist aggression.”
The Cuban foreign minister further denounced Washington’s policies, stating: “The US government continues to rely on lies and fabricated excuses in its relations with Latin America and the Caribbean region.”
