Fatah: We Oppose Any Form of Guardianship Over the Palestinian People

The Fatah movement⁣ released a statement declaring its‍ opposition to any form of trusteeship over the Palestinian people or‍ any interference that undermines Palestine’s autonomous national decisions, according to the ⁣English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen via Mehr News Agency.

The statement emphasized that the role of the international peace committee should be⁤ limited to monitoring reconstruction efforts, overseeing the implementation of peace plans, ‍adn ‌ensuring all parties adhere⁢ to a ceasefire.

It also stressed that if international forces are to be present, their deployment must be confined strictly to border areas-not inside Gaza. Security within‍ Gaza remains the responsibility of Palestinian security forces.

The statement further highlighted that establishing an administrative committee to‍ manage gaza for a specified period ‍is crucial, provided it operates under the Palestinian government’s supervision. The ⁣issue of weapons must‍ be addressed within a ⁤national framework aligned with unified sovereignty and law.

Fatah underscored Palestine’s priorities as achieving a ceasefire, complete⁣ Israeli withdrawal‍ from Gaza, facilitating humanitarian aid into the enclave, and preventing forced displacement of its residents.
