Hamas: We Are Committed to Implementing the Gaza Ceasefire Agreement

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, Husam Badran, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, confirmed that representatives of the movement discussed steps for implementing the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement at a recent cairo meeting.
Badran added that Hamas and Palestinian factions are serious about enforcing the ceasefire terms. This meeting was their first since reaching the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement and aimed to review next phase implementation measures.
He asserted that there is national consensus within Palestine on all issues. The primary goal of the Sharm el-Sheikh accord was to halt war and killings among Palestinians. “We emphasize there is no justification for reverting to previous conditions,” he said.
Badran concluded, “We will work diligently and in good faith until full implementation of the agreement.”
