New York Times Reports Potential Heating Cutoffs and Factory Shutdowns in Ukraine

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, reported that the New York Times has stated Ukrainian citizens will probably experience heating outages this winter. Factories are also expected to close due to increased electricity prices.
According to the newspaper, several Ukrainian cities have already postponed activating central heating in residential buildings because of gas shortages. Prolonged cuts in gas and electricity supply for households could lead to increased migration from Ukraine, further weakening the country’s economy.
Concerns over delaying the heating season are growing in Ukraine. The government has decided to shorten the heating period by one month, providing heating only from November 1 through March 31. normally, the season spans from October through March.
