Mohammad Raad: Lebanon’s Stability Does Not Depend on Accepting Israeli Enemy’s Conditions

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Akhbar via Mehr News Agency, Mohammad Raad, head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc, firmly rejected any linkage between Lebanon’s reconstruction process and foreign pressures. He emphasized that those who attempt to use such excuses-claiming that resistance is responsible for shameful enemy aggressions-to block these justifications are gravely mistaken.
Speaking at a ceremony honoring martyrs in Nabatieh, Raad stressed that the true cause of enemy aggressions is its expansionist ambitions aimed at subjugating Lebanon. He warned that those calling on resistance not to provide pretexts for the enemy either misunderstand the nature of aggression or mistakenly rely on international friends’ support following concessions and compromises.
The Lebanese parliamentarian said, “The key to Lebanon’s security and stability lies not in accepting enemy conditions but in compelling it to honor its obligations and stop actual aggressions.”
He called for strengthening national cohesion as essential for confronting Zionist regime ambitions while avoiding policies that weaken domestic unity.
Raad added that linking house reconstruction, citizens’ affairs, and any form of foreign pressure is detrimental to national interest.
He reaffirmed opposition to postponing Lebanon’s parliamentary elections as both a legal right and popular demand. ”The enemy benefits from delaying elections for reasons that are no secret,” he warned.
The resistance bloc member noted: “by targeting homes, markets, urban landmarks, and symbols through destruction campaigns aiming at occupation and sowing despair among honorable people, the enemy seeks failure-but it will never succeed as Lebanon stands firm with its equation of nation, army, and resistance. We will remain a country defined by freedom, dignity, and victory.”
