Serious Security Incident in Gaza Hits Israeli Army; Zamir Launches Investigation

According to Quds News Agency, citing the Israeli Kan network, two weeks after the ceasefire in Gaza, a dangerous security breach occurred within the Israeli military last night.
Although Israeli sources have not disclosed details of the incident, it has been described as unprecedented and involving a major violation of details security protocols. Israeli media have stated that they cannot reveal further information at this stage.
Security officials say the incident stemmed from a severe human error and grave negligence. The extent of damage caused by this critical mistake remains undetermined.
The severity of this security breach lead Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to order a special examination under his direct supervision. He has also issued new guidelines intended to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The military expects personal measures against those involved will be taken under zamirs oversight. Meanwhile, he continues to closely monitor and personally supervise progress on the investigation.
