Egypt’s Intelligence Chief Visits Lebanon Amid Israeli Regime Threats

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, the lebanese newspaper Al-Joumhouria reported that Major General Hassan Rashad, head of Egyptian intelligence, will embark on an official visit to Lebanon tomorrow. During this trip,he is scheduled to meet wiht Joseph Aoun,nabih Berri,and Nawaf Salam-the presidents of Lebanon’s Republic,Parliament,and Cabinet respectively.
The Lebanese daily added that this visit is part of a series of regional trips coinciding with increased international contacts regarding the situation in Lebanon and its southern region.
Lebanese political sources regard the delivery of international messages through Egypt’s intelligence chief as significant. They consider Major General Rashad one of Egypt’s prominent security figures tasked with conveying recent international and Arab communications about developments in Lebanon.
The Zionist regime has recently launched an extensive media campaign warning of a potential assault on Lebanon if its authorities resist disarming Hezbollah. this psychological campaign appears aimed at compensating for military setbacks in Lebanon by exerting pressure through diplomatic and security channels.
