UN Coordinator in Lebanon Visits Occupied Territories

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Anadolu via Mehr News Agency, jan Egeland, the United Nations Special coordinator for Lebanon, arrived in the occupied Palestinian territories on Monday as part of an official visit.
Jan Egeland’s office in Lebanon stated that this trip aims to conduct regular consultations with relevant parties to follow up on the implementation of UN Security council Resolution 1701.
During this visit, Egeland is scheduled to meet with senior Israeli officials and discuss recent regional developments, notably concerning efforts related to Resolution 1701.
The Special Coordinator will also engage in discussions regarding an understanding on halting opposed actions implemented since November 2024.
The UN office in Lebanon emphasized that these consultations seek to enhance security and stability along both sides of the Blue Line separating Lebanon and the occupied territories.
