Maduro: US Targets Venezuela’s Oil, Gas, and Gold
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Mayadeen, Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela, emphasized that the entire world knows the economic ruling class in the United States is after Venezuela’s oil, gas, and gold. He stressed this has nothing to do with drug trafficking, something they are fully aware of.
Maduro highlighted that Venezuela holds the largest oil reserves in the world and insisted no one can exclude his country from the global energy equation.
The president announced a series of operations resulting in the arrest of a group of mercenaries linked to the CIA.
He also accused the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago of “conspiracy and war propaganda,” attributing these actions to his “personal, physical, mental, and ethical weaknesses.”
Maduro asserted that their objective in Venezuela is regime change aimed at stealing oil, gas, and gold resources.
Referring to external pressures, he stated: “Now is a time for choosing-to side either with warmongers who desire death and violence or with life.”
The venezuelan president confirmed that following these threats he agreed-despite all legal consequences-to cancel energy agreements with Trinidad and Tobago as well as any related arrangements.
Maduro concluded by announcing a work meeting scheduled for tomorrow with “hundreds of advanced industry economic activists from Russia alongside an equal number of Venezuelan traders.”
