Israeli Minister Attacks Riyadh Again: We Will Proceed Without Saudi Arabia

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Maan, Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s Finance Minister, who insulted Saudi Arabia last week and subsequently apologized, once again made remarks against Riyadh. He said, “Israel has managed its affairs without Saudi Arabia for 77 years and will continue to do so for another 77 years!”
Smotrich’s comments came in response to criticism over his offensive remarks toward Saudi Arabia the previous week.
The Israeli finance minister stated on Thursday during a meeting: “If Saudi Arabia offers normalization in exchange for the establishment of a Palestinian state and demands the creation of such a state as part of normalization, we will say no thank you.”
He added: “You can continue riding your camels in the Arabian desert.”
Smotrich was forced to apologize that same day, saying: ”My remarks about Saudi Arabia were certainly inappropriate and I regret the offence I caused.”
He also added: “At the same time, I expect the Saudis not to harm us or deny our rights but to achieve genuine peace with us!”
