UN Condemns Israeli Attack on Peacekeepers in Lebanon

According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the UN secretary-General, described SundayS Israeli attack on United Nations peacekeepers in Lebanon as highly dangerous.
Dujarric stated that this is not the first time Israeli forces have targeted them in various ways, including laser targeting or warning shots.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the attack on UNIFIL personnel in a statement. It noted that similar incidents had occurred previously on October 1st, 2nd, and 11th.
On Sunday, UNIFIL reported that an Israeli drone flew aggressively over its patrols. The peacekeepers took necessary defensive measures to neutralize the drone.
the European Union similarly issued a statement condemning Israel’s assault on UN peacekeeping forces in southern Lebanon.
The statement emphasized that the safety and security of UN personnel and facilities must be guaranteed according to international law and Security Council Resolution 1701.
Reports indicate that israel continues to occupy five military positions in southern Lebanon. Despite a ceasefire, it carries out almost daily airstrikes and artillery attacks. On Monday,two brothers were killed during an attack by the occupying regime on the village of Al-Bayadh in the Tyre area.
