Mohammad Raad: Hezbollah Formed Due to Government’s Failure to Protect People

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency quoting Al-Ahed, Mohammad Raad, head of Lebanon’s loyalty to Resistance Parliamentary Bloc, said that since the Israeli enemy failed to achieve its goals-namely occupying areas beyond frontline villages in the first battle of Al-Bass-and was forced to accept a ceasefire, it has consistently tried to evade its commitments. He added that Israel continues violating the agreement with ongoing aggressive air, land, and sea operations.
Raad continued that Israel persists in breaking the ceasefire, killing civilians while preventing them from rebuilding their homes and returning to their villages. These actions threaten Lebanon’s overall security and stability.
The senior hezbollah official noted that some Lebanese unfortunately justify Israeli aggression and seek excuses used by Israel for committing crimes against them. He emphasized they must understand that Israel aims to consume all of Lebanon.
He identified Lebanese unity and internal cohesion as the foremost barriers against Israeli aggression. Raad asserted all lebanese must unite in their positions to prevent Israel from achieving its objectives. He explained that one of Israel’s primary motives for brutality is exploiting divisions among Lebanese regarding their stance toward these violations.
The Hezbollah leader stressed not allowing Israel any opportunity to capitalize on Lebanon’s internal divisions so it would lose courage in acting against the country. He underscored: “It should be clear that resistance fundamentally began as of government failure in supporting its people and nation; it will continue fulfilling this national duty until state institutions demonstrate ability and readiness to defend and protect.”
Raad also said when discussing a comprehensive national security and defense plan, Hezbollah’s essential role alongside other forces and institutions within Lebanon will be reaffirmed.
