Zelensky Warns of Major Attack Against Russia

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Politico, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky intends to expand Kyiv’s military operations against Russia’s key oil installations located deep inside Russian soil.
Zelensky stated, “We have targeted several of their refineries; they have been facing difficulties. When they started reconstruction and saw long vehicle queues, they shifted production volumes to other refineries.”
He added, “Therefore, our mission is clear: we will continue attacks on the other refineries that have increased production-especially diesel. We must work on this every day.”
Reports indicate Ukraine has targeted 21 out of Russia’s 38 major oil refineries across the country since January.
The objective is to cripple Russia’s oil industry and cut off a primary funding source for Moscow’s war machine. Zelensky believes sustained long-range strikes on energy facilities, combined with U.S. sanctions and ample EU loans to Kyiv financed through frozen Russian assets, could compel President Vladimir Putin to negotiate.
Zelensky emphasized that while Kyiv wants its allies to continue supplying long-range missiles, expanding Ukraine’s indigenous long-range capabilities remains a top priority. He noted that 90 percent of Ukraine’s strikes deep inside Russia are carried out using domestically produced drones and cruise missiles but sometimes involve British Storm Shadow and French SCALP missiles.
“Long-range capability is part of our independence and will be the greatest guarantee for peace,” Zelensky saeid. “All targets in deep Russian territory-including the expansion of our long-range weaponry-must be fully achieved by year-end.”
The Ukrainian president recently met with domestic long-range weapon manufacturers and ordered his government to finalize long-term contracts with leading drone and missile producers before the end of this year.
He also revealed that Ukraine is stockpiling its latest domestically built cruise missile called Flamingo and warned of a significant attack against Russia planned by year-end.
“We must work daily to weaken the Russians,” Zelensky concluded.”Their war funds come from oil refining. Attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure are only one part of a pressure campaign we hope will force Putin to end his total war.”
