Nawaf Salam: Israeli Attacks on Lebanon Must Stop
Lebanese Prime Minister urges U.S. envoy to halt Israeli regime’s aggression against the country.
Nawaf Salam, Lebanon’s Prime Minister, stressed that any negotiations must focus on enforcing a ceasefire, stopping Israeli regime aggression against Lebanon, and ensuring the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory. He made these remarks during a meeting with Morgan Ortagus, U.S. Deputy Special Envoy to Lebanon, according to webangah News Agency.
Salam added that this process shoudl also lead to the release of Lebanese prisoners held by Israel.
He emphasized that achieving stability in southern Lebanon relies on international support for holding a conference aimed at rebuilding the affected areas.
Ortagus previously met with other Lebanese officials, including the country’s president.
