Al-Akhbar Investigates: The Mystery Behind a Suspicious Security Incident in Rafah
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported that Netanyahu, eager to find an excuse to restart assaults on Gaza, claimed a security incident occurred in Rafah city in southern Gaza.
Israeli sources also alleged that an Israeli soldier was shot by a Palestinian sniper in Rafah. Notably, Rafah is fully controlled by Israeli forces and their allied armed group, Yasser Abu Shabab. This fact suggests hidden motives behind the incident.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) quickly responded, stating that the shooting in Rafah had no connection with its forces and reaffirmed their commitment to all terms of the ceasefire agreement.
This claim,combined with Israel’s demands for retrieving bodies of captured soldiers,triggered a new wave of attacks on Gaza over the past day.these assaults have so far resulted in 63 deaths-including 24 children-and dozens wounded.
Al-Akhbar further noted that the main reason behind these attacks was witnessing Hamas’ Qassam Brigades operating systematically during efforts to recover soldiers’ bodies. This exposed Netanyahu’s false claims about Hamas’ destruction once again.
