Brazilian Police Spark Conflict in Raid, Leaving at Least 64 Dead + Video

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and RT, at least 64 people were killed during a security operation in rio de Janeiro aimed at dismantling a criminal gang.
CNN, quoting two military officials, states that among those killed, at least 60 were criminals and two police officers lost their lives.
Claudio Castro,governor of Rio de Janeiro,said the operation is still underway and the death toll may rise.
Videos shared on social media show several fires burning in the area of the raid. Gunfire is clearly audible in the background.
Authorities say this operation targets expanding activities of a criminal organization named “Comando Vermelho” within Brazil.
The Brazilian government says this operation had been planned for over a year and involved more than 2,500 military personnel from both army and police forces. At least 81 people have been arrested so far during this campaign.
