Aboul Gheit: Israel’s Genocide in Gaza Is a Stain on Humanity’s Forehead
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Nashra via Mehr News Agency, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-general of the Arab League, stated at the opening session of the “Arab Media Conference” in beirut that Israel’s genocide in Gaza is a stain on humanity’s forehead. Humanity witnessed and heard about this genocide but remained mere spectators against the killing and destruction.
He added that the resilient Palestinian people have experienced yet another tragedy precisely when human values and rights should be paramount.
Aboul Gheit expressed hope that the Sharm El-sheikh agreement would end this horrific massacre instantly. he called for urgent efforts to begin rebuilding Gaza so Palestinians can remain on their land, thwarting Israel’s illusion of emptying Palestine of its inhabitants.
He also emphasized that Israel cannot shape a new Middle east through gunpowder and bloodshed.
The Arab League Secretary-General reaffirmed support for Lebanon regarding calls for full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. he condemned Israel’s continuous violations of the ceasefire as desperate attempts to fuel internal fears and sow division within Lebanon. The Lebanese people will not fall into this trap.
