Jumana al-Ghalay: Iraq Parliament Election Silence Period Begins November 8
The spokesperson for Iraq’s High Electoral Commission announced the start time of the parliamentary election silence period.
The High independent Electoral Commission of Iraq declared today, Wednesday, the official start time for the campaign silence period ahead of the 2025 parliamentary elections.
Jumana Al-Ghalai, the official spokesperson for the commission, stated that at 7 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, the electoral silence will begin.
She added that entering this silence period marks the legal deadline for all candidate campaigning.
The Iraqi parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
